Williams And Snoop Dogg To Play South Africa

PHARRELL WILLIAMS and SNOOP DOGG will headline concerts in South Africa in April (06) as part of the country's first People's Celebration.

The hip-hop heavyweights will be joined on stage by SEAN PAUL, RIHANNA and MARIO, as well as many of South Africa's leading performers.

MXOLISI ZWANE, whose company Premier Foods will sponsor the concerts, tells AllHipHop.com, "We feel it's time we gave our consumers something back in return.

"We are committed to this idea and will be reaching out to consumers and communities with both our products and programs to ensure dignity and economic empowerment for all."

The People's Celebration will kickstart with a concert at Johannesburg Stadium on 27 April,before heading to Durban's ABSA stadium on 29 April, and concluding with a show at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.
