Wilde's Germanic Renaissance

British eighties star KIM WILDE is enjoying a shock pop renaissance - in Germany.

The 42-year-old, who enjoyed hits including KIDS IN AMERICA before giving up fame for a domestic life of gardening, recorded a song last year with 99 RED BALLOONS singer NENA - and now the record has surfaced in the German top five.

The success of ANYPLACE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME has been so great, with Wilde appearing on TV shows following the song's popularity, she is now considering releasing the song in her native country, where she is preparing for a new tour with other eighties stars including HOWARD JONES and T'PAU star CAROL DECKER.
