Whale Rider Dominates Kiwi Film Awards
Acclaimed New Zealand movie Whale Rider dominates the list of nominees for the upcoming KIWI FILM AWARDS, snapping up nods in 14 of the 15 categories.
Niki Caro (corr) is up for director and screenwriter, while RAWIRI PARATENE (corr) and Keisha Castle-Hughes are favourites to take home acting awards.
The film, about a mysterious teenage girl's bid to become a modern-day Maori warrior, has grossed more than $40 million (GBP25 million) globally. The awards will be announced on 8 December (03).
