Warhols Singer Slams Authenticity Of Dig!

THE DANDY WARHOLS frontman COURTNEY TAYLOR has rubbished claims their successful documentary DIG! is an accurate representation of the band's life at the time.

The movie, which follows The Dandy Warhols and their rivals THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE over a seven-year hedonistic spell, has become a huge success and won awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

But Taylor says director ONDI TIMONER deliberately manipulated the footage during the film's editing.

He says, "The director, Ondi, moulded it into a confrontation, so it would be a good film.

"To some degree we did as she said - it's not really true to life."
