Wagner Sues For Charlie's Angels Cash

Movie veteran ROBERT WAGNER is suing COLUMBIA PICTURES and parent company SONY PICTURES for half the profits from the two CHARLIE'S ANGELS films.

The AUSTIN POWERS star claims he and late wife NATALIE WOOD made an agreement with Charlie's Angels creator AARON SPELLING for a share of profits from any subsequent TV series developed on an idea they submitted for the show in 1973.

But when the show was picked up by Columbia bosses as a movie franchise in 1982, trusts set up by Wagner and Wood have not been given any accountings or any money.

The first Charlie's Angels film made $265 million (GBP165.6 million) worldwide, while the sequel has netted $110 (GBP68.75 million) so far.
