Vinnie Planning To Quit

Movie tough guy VINNIE JONES wants to quit acting, just five years after appearing in his first film.

The SNATCH star, who made the move from professional soccer star to screen idol after being persuaded to appear in 1998 GUY RITCHIE film LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS, says he is tired of the burden of fame and ready to retire from showbiz.

Speaking in new British TV documentary, Jones - who made a name in Hollywood appearing alongside JOHN TRAVOLTA in SWORDFISH and NICOLAS CAGE in GONE IN 60 SECONDS - describes fame as "torture", adding, "If I won an OSCAR I would not want a picture of me holding it on the front pages. Not at all."
