Usher Signs Up To Step

R+B hunk Usher has signed up to star in a movie about the steppin' phenomenon.

Along with his mother and manager JONNETTA PATTON, the Yeah?! singer will executive produce STEP IN THE NAME OF LOVE, a period piece on the step movement, a Chicago derivative of swing dancing.

The project has been described as an urban Saturday Night Live.

Later this year (04), Usher will be seen playing singer JACKIE WILSON in UNCHAIN MY HEART: THE RAY CHARLES STORY, starring Jamie Foxx.
