Usher Parties On After Yacht Death
R+B star Usher's post MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) party on Sunday (29AUG04) was tinged by tragedy after one of the crew members working on the singer's yacht was found dead.
CRAIG ROCHEL, 34, who lived and worked on the Gray Mist III boat, drowned during a late night scuba diving expedition in Miami, Florida on Friday night (27AUG04) and his body was discovered on Saturday afternoon (28AUG04).
Despite the tragedy, Usher partied at his mother JONNETTA PATON's 'Welcome to Miami' party, prior to the singer's wins at the VMAs.
When American gossip site PAGESIX.COM's journalist TOM SYKES asked Usher about the death, the star replied, "I'm not responsible."
