Trump To Run For Ny Governor?
Property tycoon Donald Trump is reportedly considering running for the position of Governor of New York State.
THE APPRENTICE star was hailed as a candidate by leading Republican and Senate Majority Leader JOSEPH BRUNO during a News Channel 10 interview in Albany on Friday (30DEC05).
FRANK MacKAY, state chairman of the Independence Party, says, "He is a formidable candidate for anything he decides to run for. We would love to see him run for president of the United States in 2008 as a third-party candidate. I'd do what I could to help give him a strong base here in New York and everywhere else in the country."
In the past Trump has donated money to both Democrat and Republican campaigns and considered joining the US Presidential race in 2000.
