Troubled R Kelly Leads Billboard Nominations

R Kelly's legal worries are set to melt away if the R+B star wins in all the categories he's nominated for at the upcoming BILLBOARD R+B/HIP-HOP AWARDS.

The singer/songwriter leads the nominees with eight nods for the 6 August (04) event, which will be held in Miami, Florida.

His BEST OF BOTH WORLDS collaborator Jay-Z is also up for multiple honours - he's landed seven nominations.

BEYONCE KNOWLES - who'll compete with boyfriend Jay-Z for the Album Of The Year and Artist Of The Year prizes - has landed five nods along with LIL' JON + THE EASTSIDE BOYZ and Alicia Keys.

The awards will close the three-day BILLBOARD R+B/HIP-HOP CONFERENCE.
