Toronto Fans Line Up Early For Rolling Stones Show
Fans have already started queuing outside the Toronto site of the ROLLING STONES' SARS benefit concert - more than 24 hours before the all-day music festival kicks off.
About a dozen people were camped outside one of DOWNSVIEW PARK's three gates, some draped in Canadian flags.
Inside the park a large sign emblazoned with the word 'Toronto' in giant red letters hung over the concert stage, the middle 'o' replaced with a picture of the Stones' trademark tongue logo.
The Rolling Stones' production director JAKE BERRY says, "We're going to be over the size of Woodstock."
Up to 450,000 people are expected to attend the concert, aimed at boosting Toronto's economy in the wake of the severe acute respiratory syndrome outbreaks.
Other acts to perform tomorrow include RUSH, AC/DC, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, FLAMING LIPS and ISLEY BROTHERS.29/07/2003 21:16
