Movie star Tom Cruise came face to face with TOM CRUISE on Oprah Winfrey's daytime talk show in America yesterday (23MAY05).

Salesman Tom Cruise's wife STACEY asked Oprah to set up a meeting with his famous namesake and the media mogul gladly agreed, as part of her Wildest Dreams segment.

The non-famous Cruise's wife revealed in her submission tape that teenagers regularly call their home, asking to speak to 'Tom,' while declaring their love for him, and her husband used his Cruise connection to land a top sales job - writing, "How would you like to meet Tom Cruise?" on the covering letter of his resume.

The actor's shocked namesake was thrilled with his surprise, telling the famous Cruise, "Thank you for being so great... People always say, 'Where's the real Tom Cruise?' I say, 'I am the real Tom Cruise. I'm just not the rich, famous, good-looking one.'"
