Thurman Slams Press Prejudice
UMA THURMAN is refusing to read press stories about herself because reporters' prejudices have left her "paranoid". The KILL BILL star insists journalists who interview her have pre-conceived notions that are often impossible to dispel. Rather than trying to convey her real personality, Thurman has found it easier to simply avoid reading the finished article "because I get paranoid". She adds, "Sometimes you can tell a reporter has come in with an opinion already formed: They've Googled you, stolen six misquotes from eight pieces and know what they're going to say. "The piece is half-written before you've even begun! If you're not here to try and understand me, what's the point?"
