Thornton's Wild Image Helped Him In Alamo
Movie star Billy Bob Thornton related to his legendary character DAVEY CROCKET in new movie The Alamo, because they both had tough images to live up to.
The actor insists his eccentric and wild reputation perfectly prepared him to play the American pioneer and frontiersman.
He says, "I loved playing Crocket. He was a man who had an image to live up to and I could sort of relate to that.
"I've got an image as a blood-drinking, sex maniac vampire with a dungeon.
"And well... I guess I enjoy the sex maniac part of that."
