The Roots Stage Dilla Tribute Shows
The Roots will host a set of benefit shows in memory of late producer/rapper J DILLA at New York's Radio City Music Hall on 18 and 19 May (06).
Nas, Common, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu and Mos Def have signed on to join the group onstage for the tributes.
Hip-hop producer Dilla (aka JAY DEE) lost his battle with lupus and died in February (06), aged 32.
Proceeds from the event will go to Dilla's two young children and pay off thousands of dollars in medical bills.
