Wrestler-turned-actor The Rock has been crowned a high chief, after paying an emotional visit to his mother's native Samoa.
The 32-year-old muscleman travelled to the Pacific island last week (ends13AUG04), and was given the title of son of MALIETOA, by His Highness MALIETOA TANUMAFILI II.
The star says, "I've never cried so much. It was a life-changing moment. It's way deeper than an honorary title - it's blood."
The Rock, who has donated $50,000 to Samoan causes, hopes to return to the island.
He adds, "This trip made me extremely proud of my heritage and culture."
