The Passion's Too Much For Cleese

John Cleese refuses to watch Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ because he hates to see anyone suffer.

The British funnyman, who co-starred and co-wrote Monty Python's religious spoof LIFE OF BRIAN, knows he'd find the film a little too gruelling for his delicate tastes.

He says, "I don't enjoy violence and I don't want to see anyone being tortured."
