The Game 'Devastated' After Suge Knight Shooting

Hip-hop star The Game is "devastated" after his friend and mentor Marion 'Suge' Knight was shot during a pre-MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) party in Miami Beach, Florida, on Saturday (27AUG05).

The hip-hop mogul was one of hundreds in attendance at rapper Kanye West's star-studded party in the Shore Club Hotel, when an unknown assailant in a black and pink shirt, wounded Knight in the leg.

Arriving for the Awards on Sunday (28AUG05), The Game said, "After yesterday, I am devastated. I feel helpless.

"I've been shot several times myself and I wouldn't wish this on anybody.

"I walked on the beach with Suge (on Saturday) and we talked about the state of hip hop so it's obviously tragic what happened later that day."
