The Doors Stay Open

The almost reformed THE DOORS will be allowed to continue touring under the moniker DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY, thanks to a jury's decision in California.

Drummer JOHN DENSMORE attempted to sue former bandmates ROBBY KRIEGER and RAY MANZAREK for touring under the name, claiming it was unethical.

But a Los Angeles jury returned a verdict on Monday (27SEP04), agreeing that Krieger and Manzarek could continue to use The Doors' name as they tour with THE CULT singer IAN ASTBURY replacing JIM MORRISON.

A judge will give a final verdict on 27 October (04).
