The Bodeans Celebrate After Contract Dispute Victory

Milwaukee, Wisconsin rockers THE BODEANS are $200,000 (GBP105,260) better off after a hometown jury awarded the group damages from a longtime former manager, who breached a signed contract with them.

Group members testified during the trial that MARK McCRAW did not fulfil his duties as manager after renegotiating his contract following the success of the band's 1996 hit CLOSER TO FREE, which was picked up as the theme tune to cult TV show PARTY OF FIVE.

The Milwaukee-based band claimed McCraw threatened to tie them up in a lengthy legal battle if they didn't sign his contract.
