Teenager To Tell All At Glitter Trial?
LATEST: A Vietnamese teenager is reportedly preparing to give shocking evidence against disgraced British glam rocker GARY GLITTER at his trial next week (begs20FEB06).
Orphan HOANG THI BING, 18, who was allegedly one of Glitter's teenage lovers, is set to reveal how the singer sent her to scour the streets in the costal town of Vung Tau for other girls to bring back to his home.
The former pop star, real name PAUL FRANCIS GADD, is accused of kissing and engaging in other physical acts with two girls aged 10 and 11 following his November (05) arrest.
Charges of child rape, which carries the death penalty in the south east Asian country, have been dropped after Glitter allegedly paid the girls' families $2,000 (GBP1,115) for their co-operation.
But the ALWAYS YOURS hitmaker still faces three to seven years behind bars if convicted of sexual abuse.
Glitter's lawyer LE THANH KINH admits, "There a lot of questions for him to answer."
The 61-year-old, who was convicted in Britain in 1999 of possessing child pornography, is currently in custody at Phuoc Co prison in Vung Tau.
