Tarantino: 'I'll Make Films For Another 15 Years'
Maverick director QUENTIN TARANTINO has promised fans he'll devote another 15 years to movie-making before he retires to open a small town cinema.
Tarantino - who was crowned Icon Of The Decade at Britain's EMPIRE FILM AWARDS in London on Sunday night (13MAR05) - has long harboured dreams to run a movie theatre in his US homeland.
However, in response to the widespread respect he's garnered in America and Britain, the director is adamant he'll continue transporting his violent plotlines to the big screen for many years to come.
He says, "The fact that England has embraced me as one of its own is really cool. I hope to give you at least 15 more years of movies; I'm not going to be this old guy that keeps cranking them out.
"My plan is to have a theater by that time in some small town and I will be the manager - this crazy old movie guy. I've made enough money that nobody even needs to show up at the theatre. It's just having something to do."16/03/2005 09:28
