Tarantino Defends Kill Bill Violence
Cult movie-maker QUENTIN TARANTINO has leapt to the defence of his ultraviolent new movie KILL BILL.
The RESERVOIR DOGS director frequently attracts criticism for the extreme violence in his movies, but feels cinema is the perfect outlet for this.
Quentin says, "I don't feel the need to justify the violence. It's such a cinematic thing.
"Literature can't quite do it. Theatre can't quite do it. Painting can't quite do it. Cinema can do it.
"Sure, it's f***ing intense. But it's a Tarantino movie. You don't go to a METALLICA concert and ask the f***ers to turn the music down."03/10/2003 17:26
