Tapdance Festival To Honour Gregory Hines

Dancer and actor GREGORY HINES will receive a posthumous honour from the tapdance festival he was scheduled to attend before his sudden death on Saturday (09AUG03).

Hines was to have been the headliner at the first LOS ANGELES TAP FESTIVAL on Saturday (15AUG03) at HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL. Instead, the festival, presented by the DEBBIE ALLEN DANCE ACADEMY, will be dedicated to Hines, who succumbed to cancer at the age of 57.

Former FAME star DEBBIE ALLEN is among the long list of artists included on the roster for the dedication.
