Suge Knight Under Investigation
A police investigation into a violent incident involving MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT is set to increase the rap mogul's current jail stint if he's found guilty.
LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT captain PAT FINDLEY says Knight, currently in jail for a parole violation, is under investigation for three more incidents of violence which could lead to more criminal charges.
After boxing champ LENNOX LEWIS' June (03) fight with Vitali Klitschko, a party was held for the British fighter at Los Angeles' HARD ROCK CAFE, where Suge and his entourage were present. Sources say an enraged Suge kicked a man in the head.
Findley says, "It was a very violent confrontation in which people were punched, people were knocked to the ground, people were actually kicked in the face as they were down on the ground. There were several people that were seriously injured."
Police say there was a related shooting outside the restaurant moments later.
Findley states, "An individual was shot numerous times out in front of the location and is now still recovering from those wounds."
A month beforehand, Suge was the apparent target after someone fired several shots outside his company THA ROW RECORDS.
Findley continues, "A car drove up in front of the location. Seven shots were fired.
"We are treating these as extremely serious crimes."
LAPD investigators have paid many visitors to Knight in prison. Findley insists Knight has so far co-operated.
