Stones Try To Block Jones Film
LATEST: THE Rolling Stones are trying to block a controversial new movie
about the group's early days, which focuses on the suspected murder of founding
member Brian Jones.
The group fear the film might tarnish Mick Jagger and Keith Richards'
reputation by blaming them for Jones' swimming pool death in 1969.
The movie, THE WICKED WORLD OF BRIAN JONES, was produced by STEVE WOOLLEY
- the man behind hit early Beatles film Backbeat.
The Stones have reportedly told their former manager ALLAN KLEIN, who owns
the rights to their pre-1972 hits, not to grant Woolley permission to use their
music.
