Stones Track Performed By Beatles To Be Released
New footage of members of THE BEATLES playing a ROLLING STONES song has emerged and will be aired for the first time on a forthcoming DVD.
Deceased Beatles guitarist GEORGE HARRISON and drummer RINGO STARR jammed a version of JUMPIN' JACK FLASH during a rehearsal for fundraiser Concert For Bangladesh at New York City's Madison Square Garden in 1971.
The low-key performance, which also sees legendary guitarist ERIC CLAPTON joining in, was discovered among 150 hours of material in the archives of The Beatle's company Apple.
A new DVD of the concert film, which also stars BOB DYLAN and LEON RUSSELL, will be released in October (05).
The DVD's editor, CLAIRE FERGUSON, says, "We were lucky enough to discover this fantastic rehearsal footage which had just been sitting in the archive for 34 years.
"It was an incredible treasure trove."
