Stella Tops Role Model Poll
Fashion designer Stella Mccartney has topped a poll in which British girls
named their role models.
McCartney, the youngest daughter of SIR PAUL and his first LINDA, was
picked by a group of 10 to 15 year olds in a study carried out by GIRLGUIDING
UK.
The youngsters cited her achievements in the world of fashion and her
campaigning against cruelty to animals as two reasons why she was their
pick.
DR DOROTHY EINON, a psychologist at University College London, said,
"Young girls of that age are into celebrities and Stella is a double celebrity,
both in her own right and as Paul McCartney's daughter. She is also admired
because she managed
to do something for herself and not just remain in her father's shadow."
