Statuesque Mel Gibson
A Scottish stonemason is clamouring for Hollywood legend Mel Gibson to bid for a statue of warrior WILLIAM WALLACE when it is put up for auction.
Sculptor TOM CHURCH created the 13-ton piece, called FREEDOM, seven years ago (96) after being inspired by Gibson's Scottish epic BRAVEHEART - but now the monument will be auctioned off on the internet.
Tom muses, "It would be nice if Mel was interested."
