Stars Construct Garden For Battered Women's Shelter

Rap star SANDRA 'PEPA' DENTON recently teamed up with model Caprice Bourret and Pink's fiance Carey Hart to design and build a new garden for a battered women's shelter.

While filming their reality show The Surreal Life, the stars and their housemates - including model Janice Dickinson and disgraced baseball ace JOSE CANSECO - travelled to the Jenesee Shelter in South Los Angeles to give the residents a pleasant outdoor environment.

And the experience was particularly touching for actor BRONSON PINOCHET - because it brought back memories of his own childhood.

He says, "When I was a little boy, my father would go on a rampage and break the house up and try to break my mother's back. I think if there had been a place like (Jenesee Shelter) we would have gone there."
