Stapp Sues Over 'Stolen' Sex Tape
LATEST: Former CREED frontman SCOTT STAPP has launched a lawsuit bidding to stop an adult film company from distributing the sex video he features in alongside KID ROCK and four strippers. The boss of the company behind the release of PARIS HILTON's sex tape, 1 NIGHT IN PARIS, claims to have acquired the saucy footage, in which the two rockers are heard talking to one another during sexual encounters on a tour bus. Stapp's lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles yesterday (14MAR06), is almost identical to the legal papers filed by Kid Rock against Red Light District's websites in Detroit, Michigan, last month (FEB06). The legal papers allege two tapes, described as a 1999 "video diary" of the two rockers' concert tour, vanished from a safe in Stapp's home, and that Red Light District has violated his trademark and privacy rights, causing him embarrassment, pain, suffering and emotional distress. Stapp hopes to win a ruling barring the company from distributing the graphic material.
