Spike Lee Angry At Corporate Crime
Director SPIKE LEE has used his new film to criticise the American government over the ENRON affair.
The controversial DO THE RIGHT THING director has slammed GEORGE W BUSH and vice president DICK CHENEY - claiming they knew all about the financial scandal and the people responsible for America's biggest fraud trial have not been punished enough.
A character in his new film 25TH HOUR hits out at the President and Lee is only too happy to claim that the words are his own.
DAVID BROGAN, the lead in the film says, "Send those Enron assholes to jail for life. You think Bush and Cheney didn't know about that s***?"
And Lee comments, "Yeah, I'm still angry about those crooks. Good people worked themselves to death to save for their retirement and then they had their money stolen. That simple. And no one has gone to jail - not one of those b*****ds. And now the same people are going to get rich off the war."
