Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS was hurt by her 2002 split from boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE - but refuses to hit back at the former 'N SYNC hunk in song.
The TOXIC beauty kept her cool after press reports suggested Timberlake's hit CRY ME A RIVER insinuated she had ended their relationship by cheating on the boy band star, despite further reports to the contrary.
The 23-year-old says, "I read that I wrote this reply song but that's not my style. I'd never do that."
