Spacey Stays Strong
American star KEVIN SPACEY has hit back at criticism of his management of London theatre The Old Vic and is determined to complete his 10 year contract. The actor recently cut short the run of ARTHUR MILLER's RESURRECTION BLUES, directed by ROBERT ALTMAN, following poor reviews, one of which called for his resignation as artistic director. He also closed the theatre during the height of the summer tourist season. But Spacey has learned his lessons and is moving on. He says, "It will never matter what anyone ever says. If you believe in something enough, nothing can dissuade you from doing it. "I'm here for a long time. And we will have other plays that won't work. It's not an exact science."
