Spacek Returns To Horror

CARRIE legend SISSY SPACEK is returning to the horror genre - by taking a starring role in sequel THE RING 2.

OSCAR winner Spacek, 54, will join Australian actress NAOMI WATTS and LA CONFIDENTIAL star SIMON BAKER for the sequel to 2002's smash hit THE RING.

Filming on the production is due to begin in May (04) and the film is to be directed by HIDEO NAKATA, the mastermind behind the original 1998 Japanese film RINGU.

Spacek won acclaim in 2001's harrowing drama IN THE BEDROOM.
