Soul Stars Team Up For Elephant
Soul legends JAMES BROWN and PATTI LABELLE are teaming up to perform at a benefit concert for a wooden elephant.
The singers have jumped to aid LUCY, THE ELEPHANT, a 122-year old tourist attraction in Margate, New Jersey.
The operators of the wooden elephant are trying to raise more than $375,000 (GBP234,375) to bring the historic landmark into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act - so that disabled kids can continue to play on and in the structure.
Brown and LaBelle will co-headline a concert on Saturday (09AUG03) to raise cash for the renovation.04/08/2003 09:13
