Soul Slams Us And Uk Over Iraq

Actor DAVID SOUL has accused the US and UK governments of "overstepping boundaries" by keeping troops in Iraq. The American STARSKY AND HUTCH star, who now resides in London, is appalled US President GEORGE W BUSH and British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR are still allowing soldiers to be killed in the war-ravaged nation. He says, "Get our guys out of there (Iraq). We have created a world where powers like the United States and United Kingdom have overstepped the boundaries and imposed our view of life and the world on other people. "It is time we stepped back and showed our strength in humility."

It appears that the first casualty of war is the truth. We are fortunate that men like Tony Blair and George W. Bush are nothing like the "cut and run" crowd of these mindless talking heads from Hollywood and America's leftwinged media.I guess if guys like David Soul, George Clooney, Sean Penn, and what seems to be the majority of Democrats in the United States Capitol had their way, the U.S. and England simply would have appeased evil and never captured Saddam Hussein. Or better stated by David Soul, we never would have 'overstepped the boundaries and imposed our view of life and the world on other people.' Under this type of dangerous ideology, Saddam would still be in charge and committing atrocities... His sons Oday and Qusay would still be alive and well - running Iraq's rape rooms and torture chambers... Women would not be allowed to work or go to school... Saddam's soldiers would continue to fill mass graves... Dead babies would still be laying in the streets from the weapons launched against them by Suddam Hussein. The facts remain, because of Blair and Bush, Saddam Hussein is in prison and on trial for the killing of more than 140 Shiites, genocide, and crimes against humanity stemming from his crackdown on the Kurds with Operation Anful where 5,000 Halabja villagers including women and children were gased to death.* 25 million people in Iraq, as well as Afghanistan have been liberated.* Schools are being rebuilt and opened. Hospitals are are being rebuilt and functioning. The electricity is back with more wattage and power and functionality than the Iraqis ever had under Hussein. * The U.S. military is having significant success securing the Syrian border making it tougher for Syria-based Sunni insurgents to orchestrate or support attacks in Iraq. Suicide bombings are down 30 percent.* Recent intelligence reports suggest near-mutiny in al Qaeda's ranks - most likely thanks to the U.S. & British forces capturing and/or killing operatives in large numbers, al Qaeda cash crunches, and an influx of "green" al Qaeda recruits.* More than 30 Iraqi Army battalions are controlling their own areas of operation and more than a dozen military bases have been turned over to the Iraqis, including a former Saddam Hussein palace.Mr. Soul, in reality it is time you and your ilk stepped back and showed your strength in humility. The lines of war were drawn in the sand for us years ago, remember? 1993, the first World Trade Center bombing. 1996, the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia. 1998, the east African embassies. 2000, USS Cole. 2001, the World Trade Center. 2004 Madrid, Spain commuter train system. 2005 London's Underground transport network. It has been said, 'Those who choose to ignore history are doomed to repeat it.' And, never forget that freedom is never free - it must always be fought for and defended or guys like Soul will never be allowed to freely spew their rhetoric.

It's surprising to hear what everyone already knows make news, but then again, not a surprise.George Bush is the US's worst and most dangerous president. The war was born out of greed and the need to 'Americanize' the Middle East.As a vet with a long family history of military service, it's a disgrace how badly George Bush has trashed our military and the vets.Bush wears the blood of our military and countless innocents on his hands. And the 'Saddam was a bad guy' argument is about as obtuse as George Bush is. You'd think the chicken hawks could do better.
