Soul Lands West End Role
Former STARSKY AND HUTCH actor DAVID SOUL has landed the lead role in the London stage production of JERRY SPRINGER - THE OPERA.
The 60-year-old will take over from actor MICHAEL BRANDON, who stands down on 10 July (04). Soul's first performance will be two days later.
The musical, based on JERRY SPRINGER's controversial talk show, has been a smash hit since landing in the West End last November (03) - after a successful run at London's NATIONAL THEATRE - taking more than $15 million (GBP8.5 million) at the box office.
Soul says of the role, "I'm thrilled and excited to be joining the cast of the award winning musical."11/06/2004 02:19
