Smokey Stuns The Stars

Veteran soul singer SMOKEY ROBINSON wowed a star-studded crowd at London's Grosvenor House hotel yesterday (24MAY06) with a rare appearance to mark his 50 years in the music industry. The TEARS OF A CLOWN star was greeted by an audience which included JERRY HALL, Hollywood veteran JANE RUSSELL, CHRISSIE HYNDE and BONNIE TYLER, who were all desperate to see Robinson strut his 66-year-old stuff. Robinson, introduced on stage by former sex symbol Russell, had not performed in the British capital since 1984. The show was organised by LIZA MINNELLI's estranged husband DAVID GEST.
