Smith's Nightmarish Inspiration
OSCAR-nominated movie star WILL SMITH decided to become an actor after seeing ROBERT ENGLUND in A NIGHTMARE OF ELM STREET.
The ALI heart-throb loved watching the classic 1984 horror flick about serial killer FREDDIE KRUEGER during his childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Smith says, "My two favourite movies, the ones that had the most effect on me growing up, would have to be Nightmare Of Elm Street and STAR WARS.
"I always loved the energy and the excitement of going to see something that I had been for four months to see - that's the reason I make movies and for me, A Nightmare On Elm Street was that movie. I was just insane to see it.
"And Star Wars was really the first time I just had my mind blown by a movie."09/07/2004 19:27
