Funk legend SLY STONE will reportedly reunite with the classic SLY + THE FAMILY STONE line-up to perform at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on 8 February (06).
Reclusive Stone - real name SYLVESTER STEWART - hasn't performed live since 1987 and last appeared in public in 1993 when Sly + The Family Stone were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
But according to US newspaper the Washington Post the FAMILY AFFAIR band will play a set at the high-profile Grammys next week.
Such a performance would mark the first time the classic line-up, including bassist LARRY GRAHAM, has played since 1971, the same year Sly + The Family Stone released their classic THERE'S A RIOT GOIN' ON album.
MAROON 5, JOSS STONE and AEROSMITH stars STEVE TYLER and JOE PERRY will also team up at the Grammys in a tribute to Sly + The Family Stone.
