Simmons Launches Tax Initiative
Rap mogul Russell Simmons has launched a new initiative to help people file their taxes efficiently.
The Def Jam RECORDS co-founder has joined forces with TURBOTAX to create ROCK YOUR REFUND, a website which helps young Americans understand and file their state and federal taxes - and aims to get them the biggest refund possible.
Visitors to the site are given tax tips, and are charged approximately $6 (GBP3) for filing their income tax forms.
Simmons tells MTV NEWS, "The last leg of the civil-rights movement is economic empowerment... not just for African Americans, but for all young Americans."
