Shyamalan Writes Children's Tale

Director M Night Shyamalan is venturing into the world of children's literature - releasing picture book LADY IN WATER to coincide with the release of his film by the same name. The book, due 21 June (06), was originally written as a bedtime story for Shyamalan's children. The story centres on an apartment building superintendent who rescues what he thinks is a woman, from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in his world. The tale features illustrations by CRASH MCCREERY, who has worked as a character designer and artist on such films as Jurassic Park, Pirates Of The Caribbean and Shyamalan's film, The Village. The film version of the story, stars Paul Giamatti as the superintendent and Bryce Dallas Howard as the Lady in Water.

This is indeed, very good news! Although I must confess that I was looking forward to the new Superman film as my number one treat this Summer, I will wait it at second place if Shyamalan's "Lady in Water" is in town. Why? Because of the combination of Shyamalan and Bryce Dallas Howard! Their impact on me in "The Village" , will forever rank No. 1 in my memory and imagination! Bravo!
