Shark Tale Top In Uk

Animated hit Shark Tale has shot straight to the top of the UK box office after landing $13.5 million (GBP7.5 million) in its opening weekend (16-17OCT04).

The movie, which boasts an astonishing ensemble cast including ROBERT DE NIRO, Will Smith and Angelina Jolie, followed up its US success across the Atlantic beating nearest contender White Chicks, which only managed $1.6 million (GBP884,995).

Low budget American horror film SAW slipped from second to third place and BRIDE AND PREJUDICE fell to fourth. The Bollywood style take on JANE AUSTEN's classic novel has so far taken $5.76 million (GBP3.2 million) at the box office.
