Shankar Upset As Instruments Are Broken

Sitar virtuoso RAVI SHANKAR is threatening to cancel a concert in Arles, France on Sunday (17JUL05) after two of his instruments were broken en route from Lebanon.

Shankar was flying from Beirut to Paris when he discovered his instruments had been seriously damaged.

The devastated Indian musician says, "I feel like I have lost two relatives."

Shankar's aides blame Air France officials for the damage.
