Shakira 'Moved' By Poor Children

Colombian pop singer Shakira was moved to tears whilst visiting children benefiting from her BARE FEET FOUNDATION in poverty-stricken Colombian town, Quibdo, on Thursday (26MAY05).

The WHENEVER, WHEREVER singer - whose Bare Feet charity aims to combat malnutrition and school truancy in Colombia's poorest areas - was astonished by what she saw.

The 28-year-old says, "I witnessed a great human wealth.

"I saw children who have great potential to become productive people for society.

The sexy blonde was in Colombia to promote her new album, FIJACION ORAL (ORAL FIXATION) - which goes on sale in 60 countries in the first week of June (05).
