Sex Pistols Star Takes Autobiography To The Big Screen

SEX PISTOLS frontman JOHN LYDON has inked a deal to bring his autobiography ROTTEN: NO IRISH, NO BLACK, NO DOGS to the silver screen.

The GOD SAVE THE QUEEN singer - who is best known under his stage name JOHNNY ROTTEN - will develop the project with WAYNE'S WORLD director PENELOPE SPHEERIS.

As yet, no actors have been attached to the film and no official release date has been mooted. However, the interest stirred by news of the planned movie has persuaded publishers to reissue the tome in January 2004.
