Sedaka: 'I Inspired The Greats'

American crooner NEIL SEDAKA was thrilled to have been praised by BOB DYLAN in his autobiography CHRONICLES VOLUME ONE (04), but he insists the poetic icon is simply one of many stars who have hailed him.

Sedaka, 66, remembers with pride how soul superstar STEVIE WONDER lavished praise on him too, proving the SOLITAIRE singer is still as legendary as ever.

He enthuses, "I was very flattered. I've always been an admirer of (Dylan). He's an innovator and a survivor - there are few of us still around from that era.

"I also felt very honoured last year when Stevie Wonder and I were given Lifetime Achievement Awards by the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.

"Steve told me he was inspired by me, which blew me away."
