Scottish Stars Raise Money For Tsunami Relief
A host of Scottish music stars including FRANZ FERDINAND have made $570,000 (GBP300,000) at a charity concert to raise funds for survivors of last year's (26DEC04) Indian Ocean tsunami - with additional money yet to be counted.
The TAKE ME OUT rockers appeared alongside bands including TEXAS, DEACON BLUE, TRAVIS, MOGWAI and TEENAGE FANCLUB at the event in Glasgow, Scotland, last night (19FEB05).
A spokeswoman for the city's SECC venue says, "When Deacon Blue came on, everyone was really excited and they went down a storm.
"All 10,000 people were singing along with the band and the atmosphere was just electric."
Tickets for the fundraiser sold out within 36 hours.20/02/2005 14:32
