Scorsese And DiCaprio To Team For Fourth Time
Acclaimed director Martin Scorsese and actor LEONARDO DiCAPRIO will team up for the fourth time to shoot a movie based on former US President THEODORE ROOSEVELT's life.
Reports indicate the film will use EDMUND MORRIS' prize-winning biography THE RISE OF THEODORE ROOSEVELT as its blueprint, and will follow his growth from a childhood asthmatic to commander of The Rough Riders in Cuba, and onto The White House where he held office from 1901 to 1909.
Scorsese and DiCaprio first joined forces for Gangs of New York in 2002 before making last year's (04) The Aviator and the upcoming THE DEPARTED, which also stars Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon.
Screenwriter NICHOLAS MEYER says of the project, "His life reads like a movie that requires a big bag of popcorn."
